Mummy loves...

Tuesday, 29 January 2013

One of the reasons I am most excited about writing a blog is *finally* having somewhere to keep all those precious memories that, somehow, I never get round to writing down anywhere else. I have baby diaries, note books, mummy journals -  you name it. But for whatever reason, I don't get round to updating them.

So, here's the first in a series of what will hopefully become a collection of my favourite 'rememberies' (as Dylan likes to call them):

This week, some of my 'loves' are:

  • My daughter referring to her eyebrows as 'eyebrowns' - both beans have always called them this and I don't plan to correct them any time soon
  • Dylan calling me his 'precious little dumpling'. Oh and apparently I smell like pancakes!
  • Watching my beanies play happily together before breakfast - this morning they made pizza in their toy kitchen for their Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
  • The fact that they love to colour, create and generally make a huge amount of paper-related mess in my kitchen every day. I don't have the heart to throw any of their 'art' away (at least not within the 'guilt window' of the first week or so), so we are pretty much drowning in a sea of cut out paper people and enough handmade greetings cards to stock a small regional branch of Clintons
  • My spaghetti bolognese (one of their favourite meals) being referred to as 'spaghetti vom-alese'. I'm trying to take this as a compliment.

What are your favourite 'rememberies' this week?
