My symptoms disappeared | 9-12 week pregnancy update

Monday, 16 January 2017

Has anyone else experienced this? At roughly nine weeks pregnant, I went from feeling pretty... well, pregnant. Nauseous, so very tired and bloated. Then, nothing. I felt completely normal.

It worried me. I read up on it and apparently it's not uncommon for symptoms to subside early on, but it's never happened to me before so I wasn't sure what to make of it.  Thankfully, I've now had my scan and know that all is fine and as it should be. But pregnancy can be such a worrying time anyway can't it?

I didn't feel like I should film an update for a while, but I'm glad I changed my mind. It meant that I had to combine a couple of weeks into one update, but better that than no update at all!

So, this takes me to the second trimester. Already! I'm sure the second, and definitely third trimesters will feel longer than this one did. I hope so anyway. I want time to slow down for the next few months ...I may regret saying that when I get to the last few weeks!

I'd love to know if anyone else has felt this way during their first trimester. Please let me know in the comments below.

  1. I didn't get many symptoms with my daughter (second pregnancy). I had felt a bit nauseous but then I just didn't and only ever had tiredness with her - so funny isn't it? Glad all is going well though x

  3. Can't really relate because with both my pregnancies I never had morning sickness or nausea. The only thing I did have was tiredness. It was okay during second trimester.

  4. The least little thing can make you worry when you're pregnant can't it? I had something similar and I was really worried it meant something was wrong which I know is silly but I just couldn't help it x x

  5. Yes I have heard of this and it's nothing to worry about. I remember feeling like this some days in the first trimester and it always worried me but had nothing to worry about as all turned out well and symptoms were soon back! Xxx

  6. My pregnancy symptoms (except for exhaustion) disappeared quite early on with my last pregnancy. It is very scary when it happens though. I am so pleased that I didn't mean anything for you. And I hope that you are able to enjoy your second trimester. Hugs Lucy xxxx

  8. Yes, I had this. I was terribly nauseous and sick with Phoebe and then bang on 12 weeks it just stopped! (thank goodness!) It came back momentarily at the end of the second trimester and then went again. Wishing you lots of luck! xx
